Leave a comment about this day On February 6, 2023, I had two of the most pleasant visitors from Lincoln NE. Paula, whom I have known for 40 years, and her husband Dan, who turns out to be the best “love” advisor I could ever ask for. This was a much-needed visit from old friends helping me through some life decisions I could never have imagined I would have to make. I love them both for their friendship and sage advice.

After a wonderful night in town, we took out on another shakedown cruise. This time there were very few problems. I found a loose bolt that reminded me I needed to go around the boat and check critical connections.

We sailed under stiff winds and negotiated some strong currents. It was a good trip. The boat is about ready for the adventure, but the most important question is about my readiness for my life ahead.
